Has anyone experienced any dumping symptoms? I'm pretty sure I have the last 2 days after chocolate Protein Drinks. Anyone else?

No not strange, my surgeon actually warned me ahead of time there are reports of it happening to sleevers, & it is a risk although a lot less than the bi-pass. The trick is to figure out the trigger. I think I'm in trouble if its the Protein drinks.

You are not alone or crazy!

I ate a mini donut about 20 minutes ago and puked my guts up. It was horrible.

My surgical team also said it's possible. Again, not really on the scale of the bypass patients. But it certainly IS possible.

My nut warned me of it as well. I'm tolerating sugar ok, but yogurt wreaked havoc. Not sure if it's dumping or lactose, but im ok with frozen yogurt? Horrid cramps, bloating galore, and in the bathroom like crazy RIGHT AFTER I ate it. Yuck. I want to smack people that think living life like this is the "easy way out!"

I ate a couple bites of macaroni and cheese and had symptoms of dumping. Weird.

Super fatty foods cause dumping with me. I ate cheesesteak meat-had an episode, and also experienced it after trying some beef hot dog. My doctors did say it can happen to sleevers.

Lots of sugar substitues can cause diahrea- similar to dumping but its just the plain ole runs.

Since we are eating & drinking lots of things with artificial sweeteners and not getting lots of fiber.... I suppose its bound to happen!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
