2 Weeks Post-Op: I Really Want Coffee

I know we are not really supposed to have caffeine, but my water intake is just fine, so I'm wondering if there is any other reason for the caffeine ban? I really want a cup of coffee and don't see any harm...

  • Caffeine also causes ulcers which would be bad news for our new stomachs.

  • Switch to decaf, thinmymind. You can still enjoy the flavor, just avoid the caffeine.

My Doctor says that coffee is fine... I personally don't drink it often but I will have a cup of regular coffee maybe once a week with cream and have had no problems. I also enjoy iced coffee.

You can still have coffee. Decaf. Enjoy!!!

My dr cleared me for A cup of coffee @ 3 weeks. Regular caffeinated coffee! Yay! I have one cup in the morning to get woken up (so not a morning person!). I have had zero problems, but ask your dr!

My doc and nut told me to never have caffeine because of the ulcers caffeine may cause in my newly resized stomach. Why ruin ur new stomach? U don't have much of it, so take extra care of ur tummy :)

keepin it real ;)
