Sleeve One Week From Today

Hello,

I am from Saginaw Mi. Getting my sleeve done May 29th at Hurley Bariatric in Flint Mi. I have Dr. Farhan. Getting nervous and excited too. I am on my 2nd week of the liquid diet (UGGH)I cant wait to find a different protien shake to use. The ones they have us taking are horrible. Any suggestions? Just thought I would introduce myself.

I was afraid of that. I guess I will just have to keep trying different ones after the surgery. Thank you for the encouragement.

Some are not as bad as others. I used Cytomax and they were ok, I also use Muscle Milk lite chocolate and strawberry, and Elite whey powder chocolate. For me they have to be cold. So when I use the powders I make them in the blender and use crushed ice it is like a milk shake. If you have not started walking now try it even if it is short distances.

That way it will be easier for you to walk around after your surgery. DO not lay in bed all day you do not want to get a blood clot. Plus every time the doctor came up to see me I was walking up and down the halls doing my laps and he did not make me stay a second night .

Been walking every day. I am down 9 lbs since last Monday. My goal is to get up and move as soon as I can and not stop. Might have to try that Muscle milk. Anything has to be better than what I have now. Im just worried that since I have a hard time now its gonna be really tough after. Right now I also have to have it super cold and thinned down. I hold my nose and chug it! I think since I will have to sip it after, that I also will use my blender and try it that way.

All Protein is pretty nasty!!! Hang in there it gets better! I'm one week post op and already down 17lbs!! Having the weight come off makes it sooooo worth it! You can do it! Don't be nervous, it'll all be over before you know it! Good luck
