Sleeve Vs Band

Anyone regret the sleeve and wish they had a band ? I'm torn over the decision. Any input would be great.

I don't regret it im 11days out but the girl I shared a hospital room with had her band removed due to erosion and also had massive amount of scar tissue removed. She said she wish she had the sleeve

sleeve 100 %

I absolutely, positively do NOT wish I did the LapBand. I'm 11 days post-op. I wouldn't change a thing. That's not to say this is a breeze.....but I'm far more confident in my future success with this procedure. Good luck!

Look at the long term complication rates and upkeep over the years - I would never chose the band!!!! I want to LIVE my life!

I had the band and wished I would have got the sleeve to begin with. I was to chicken. It was a big waste of time and money. I did lose weight at first but, then I got to the point were I was vomiting everyday and couldn't eat chicken, turkey, veggies, salad... healthy stuff. I was less than 10 lbs to my goal for about 5 mins then started gaining weight. I'm so happy to have it out. Even if it never had a slippage or erosion, I couldn't live with vomiting for the rest of my life.

I'm glad I got the sleeve now. I can eat good healthy food in much smaller quantities. If I had know that the risks were higher for revisions than for virgin sleeves I might have decided to go with the sleeve. Thank God I didn't have any major complications.
