To increase absoption make sure you take it on an empty stomach. you cannot break the tablets or they will not work. here is more informatio about them, they are are proton pump inhibitors like nexium and protovix so their mechanism of action is similar.

    My doctor has had me on Pepcid AC tablet since I was in the hospital. I just swallow one tablet in the morning and I'm good all day!
