Family

My mom has been in town for almost a month, to help me out after surgery. My sister also came for the weekend. Don't get me wrong with what I am about to say. I am very happy and grateful that they are both here. Sad they are leaving tonight. Butttttttt since they have never been to LA on top of me getting newly sleeved on 2/8 and adjusting I have been taking them around town for almost a month. Restuarants and food galore. I must say I think I have done pretty well considering all the temptations. But I am writing this as my mom is eating an ice cream cone and my sister is eating Toll House cookies and I am drinking water. Can I say I am a little happy that when they leave the constant daily temptations will be limited somewhat. Sorry for venting

Venting is good. Sorry to hear you've been bombarded with temptations.

oh my gosh I can understand that! Hang in there!

I think that was very conservative, in your reaction, lol. That was so sweet of them to tempt you like that lol.

Truly what wonderful family you do have for being there.

Congrats on being sleeved, I was sleeved 02/04, right behind you. Hang in there :).

Good job keep your sanity! Family is wonderful but it's really hard at times. CONGRATS! ;)

Congrats on keeping on track!!

I'm worried about temptations too. It sounds like you are doing great though because you know those are poor eating choices.

You did a great job avoiding temptation! The first few weeks, when my family sat around for dinner, I just had my mushies in my room - I didnt feel confident enough to be near my favorite food that soon past surgery. LOL

Honestly it's been sooo hard. From hamburgers to Thai food, Chinese food, Mexican, Seafood, Korean BBQ, Brazilian Steak House etc... The list goes on!! All month long!! I either come prepared with my food/shakes or eat some soup or something I can have on the menu. But ordering for myself is ridiculous because it's wasteful since I can only eat a bite or two. I did cave in yesterday and had the peanut butter inside of a sugar free Reese cup but that wasn't even a spoonful of peanut butter.

I feel your pain! My family is always eating!!!
