Hi, this is normal, i stalled at about 3 1/2 months and then lost another 15kg. What my mum always told me to.. you wont loose weight you loose size. You will see what i mean. Dont worry your body will start loosing again soon :)

Thanks for the reply Kim. I have realised though that i lose weight faster if i keep switching food types. Will this work for the stall?

Our surgery date is the same! You're doing so much better than me though. ;)

I've also been fluctuating between the same three pounds for two weeks. I've been exercising more, getting my Water intake in, and being more vigilant about taking my Vitamins. Not really sure what the deal is.

To be honest i never tried it. It could however. My mum and aunty had the surgery a few years before me and with me being only 20 when i had it they had alot to teach. They say your body goes into shock and tries to hold onto everything it can in the begginning. Hence the stalling or plauting. Try changing foods. Let me know how it goes.

Thats great Mina :) Pleasure to meet you.

Believe me its not about me doing better than you or better than anyone else its just that each body deals with weight loss differently.

What i strongly suggest you do is suprise your stomach/body every now and then by changing the type of food you eat (healthy food) and also change your workout routine regularly. What i am trying to say is "trick" and "shock" your body and you should get good, healthy results.

What really works for me is a protien shake in the morning on my way to work and another shake before bed.

Hope this helps.

Rico, I'm I the same spot a you. Sleeved Nov. 21st and stalled out for two weeks. I started drinking a shake first thing in the morning these past few days and Finally dropped a pound!! Also upped my walking routine. Good Luck, I know you'll break your stall. :)

Rico: this is normal. I've had really long stalls but I was losing in inches! That is even better for me. But you are 11 lbs away from your goal and it might be harder to loose the last 11 lbs.

If you haven't taken any measurements, this is an excellent time to measure your body. Take measurements of your chest, waist, hips, thighs, arms, and calfs. Plus are your cloths getting looser? Do you need to buy new cloths? Those are tail tail signs of loss.

Keep Rockin that Sleeve! ;)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
