How Did You Choose Your Screen Name?

  • Popular Post

I have seen this posted on another forum and thought it was interesting.

One of my nickname's has been Pookey - like garfield's teddy bear, since I was a kid, and 'ism' means the 'art of' or 'state of', etc...Pookeyism: The art of being me!

Self explanatory....

I used to be really into Adkins Diet. I worked great but, of course, I gained it back whenever I stopped following it.

I have used this name before on other WL boards. So I decided to use it here, since I would be Losing it..(the WEIGHT) that is how I came up with ImLooznit and I am..... :):D

Mel for my first name Melanie, J for my middle name, P for my last name....I have used this name since my first computer in 96.....

Thank you all for responding! I love info like this, lol.

I use Dooter, because that is what a neighbor/friend of my mom used to call me in high school. She always added names to the end of a real name. My mom was "Barber Darber" and I was "Dani Dooter." (She was nutty!) Then she just started calling me Dooter. So, later when I got a computer and email and such..97?...I started using Dooter because it was ALWAYS available. (not so much anymore!) Then someone at church got a hold of this information a couple years ago, now they all call me Dooter. Now it's my "go to." So.......there ya have it.

The sleeve was for me...hence sleeve 4 me :)

I love reading these! interesting!

I've been "Malyss" since about 1996 or so when I first logged onto LambdaMoo (a MUD/MUSH-esque type of thing) and I needed a decent screen name. "Malyss" rhymes with malice. I prefer to use Malyss for most of my online activities. I like the name. It looks pretty but has darker undertones...sort of how I somewhat imagine myself or some alter ego form of myself.

I first chose sleeveforme not realizing there was someone with sleeve4me so I decided to change it to 100%sleeved when I realized I could no longer stuff myself the way I use to.

My favorite place Tybee Island Ga. My favorite person my Mom, Anna.

I chose mine because I plan to rise like a Phoenix from the ashes of my former fat self! (4 more weeks, then surgery.)
