I'm scheduled for June 19th, with Dr. Nicholson in Dallas, TX. My wife had the surgery a week ago today by him!

Dadto2 that is awesome for you and your wife how is she doing? We are sleeve siblings I'm June 19th also just up the road in decatur. I'm so excited, ready, with a touch of nervousness lol

Sunshine25 she is doing well though perhaps at times overdoing it a bit. We planned on having the sleeve surgery as close as possible together so that we could support one another as much as possible. And by watching her I know sort of what to expect and she will know what I will be going through and will need as far as aftercare post-op.

The left side is the side that really bothers her the most, but she is walking fine for short distances, moving to longer distances and has been driving for the last three days. She goes off the clear liquid diet portion tomorrow.

I'm feeling the same feelings you are. Excitement with nervousness. I'm still learning what I can and cannot do diet-wise post op, and that's a little scary. I'm used to 16 ounce steaks and I'm looking at what 2 to 3 ounces of whatever protein I take in? So it's a very radical change, but one I am looking forward to. Simply put, I'm tired of being 365 pounds and want to do more athletic things with my daughters.

SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 7TH!!! YAY!!!

I'm June 27 or 28 in Costa Rica.

June 4th for me. On a low cal/high protein diet for the next 2 weeks.

I'm having removal w/revision.

Hi mamaM, where are you going. I am lap to sleeve with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali on the 6th.

Continue posting here on June dates, I have gone through every post in in June section and made a sheet with all the surgeries to this point and their dates, as well as a few tentative possible June Sleevers and will start a Compilation of June Sleevers dates in order for well wishes, thoughts, prayers, etc.

I am on day 2 of pre-op diet. I hate it...I am thinking of all the food I WANT to eat. I feel like a 2 year old having a temper tantrum over not getting what I want....I know it is for my health, I know it makes the operation "easier", I know it is only for 2 weeks...but I am so jealous of people (even heavier than me) that aren't doing this....just depends on the doctor.

Maybe I should have doctor shopped for this!! :)

Just kidding....

Just my frustration speaking....

12 more days, then surgery...

Hurry up June 5th!!!!

I start my 2 week liquid pre op diet this Monday, May 28th. I am able to have some veggies and other items on the list from my bariatric program along with 4 whey isolate protein shakes 2 mixed with water, 2 mixed with skim milk. Trying to be good this week and not overdue eating foods thinking it's a food funeral or something!

Good luck!

I received my two jars of Nectar brand protein today that I ordered for the pre op 2 week liquid diet that starts May 28th. I went with Nectar Chocolate Truffel and Nectar Fuzzy Navel. I got a $10 off coupon through Bariatric Advantage and free shipping so they only cost me $30 a jar which is the cheapest I found them to be. I have a bunch of packets of whey isolate protein shakes I will use after surgery since everyone says your tastes change from pre op to post op. I bought about $90 worth of packets online a couple months ago and have them all ready to go in plastic boxes with lids.

I am getting excited and nervous as my June 11th surgery date draws near. Tommorrow I go to the hospital for a gallbladder scan and pre admission apt and tests done. I see the surgeon at 1pm to go over everything one last time and sign consent papers.

When I started this process in Feb. of this year I didn't think they day would come when I would be finally having the surgery but the time has flown by. I have been trying to do good and stick to 1300 cals a day and use myfitnesspal.com to loose weight pre op. I have lost about 36 pounds but the last week I haven't been as good with what I eat. Trying to get back on track.

Good luck to all the June sleevers! This is a great group!

Pam

My date has been definitely set for June 29! I go to the hospital on 6/28 for tests and my consult with the doctor and then I will be picked up at 5:30 at the Villa Le Mas and transferred to the hospital for a 8:00 a.m. surgery. I'm so excited!
