** HELP **

Hey all :) So I know it depends on each individual .. but approx how long should I expect to be in the hospital for my surgery? And how long should I expect to be out of work once i get home?

I am really trying to avoid filing a Leave of Absence at work .. and I will have to if i miss more than 7 consecutive calendar days :(

I do work from home though.... so Im thinking that maybe after a few days I could just work at home.

Any thoughts? THanks much!!!

June 9th is my surgery date!! I am really really nervous.. but excited at the same time. A little worried about making sure i eat the right things after :( it seems like soooooo much to remember. Helppp lol

I had surgery on a Monday afternoon 5/9, went home Tuesday afternoon. I went back to work the following Monday 5/16.

The worst for me was the gas pain that lasted about 3 days, after that, I was fine. Sore, like I had worked my abs too hard, but fine. I have a desk job that doesn't require any lifiting or strenuous work, so I was released to go back.

Good luck to you!

Kelly :)

I was in the hosptal over night and took two weeks off but could have been back after one week. so If you work from home I think you should be fine with one week.

Hi Tamz, I was in the hospital one day and took off from work 2 weeks only becuz I could. I felt fine, I even stopped my morphine drip at the hospital becuz I figured why take it if I am not in any pain. I also didn't have any gas pains, no trouble swallowing, no nothing.

Good luck on your journey!!!! :D
