5 weeks post op - 18 years old

I had my surgery on march 15 and have lost 28 lbs. I just turned 18 in January so as a teen this has been an emotional and physical challenge for me. Everyday gets easier and every pound I loose makes it totally worth it. Im on soft foods now and have been eating alot of refried beans and cheese, egg whites, and turkey and laughing cow cheese. My taste buds have changed so much and I don't have as much as a craving for food like I used to. I'm getting bored of just those things and feel like there's alot more food I can be eating but I just don't know what. I'm currently in culinary school so cooking and baking isn't a problem for me. If anyone knows any good recipes allowed during the soft phase I'd really appreciate it. Especially anything with tomato sauce haha that's been my number one craving! Also I've been having problems with getting enough liquid down. I only get about 20 oz in on a good day. My skins so dry lately and I know it's because of my lack of water intake but if anyone knows of a good face moisturizer let me know!! Thanks for reading and please respond! And congratulations to the rest of you sleeve patients!!

Woohoo! Congrats on the surgery. I will definitely be following your story. :)

Congrats on your weight loss! It's great that you had it done so young- you will have a lifetime of reaping in the benefits of the sleeve. Definitely check out Egg Face's website- there are so many recipes and information. It is very helpful. I too craved tomato sauce afterwards- I couldn't wait to have it along with some meatballs. And that is what I did when I was on soft foods. I bought a lean cuisine meal and just ate the sauce and meatballs and threw away the Pasta. Now since you are into cooking- I'm sure you could whip something up that tastes much better. Good luck to you as you continue through this journey!:D

Congrats sweetie :) ...I saw your pics before reading this post (you look FABULOUS) and actually asked how old you were lol...I'm happy for you!

@Youngandwildresa93- I am now going to try the vitamin waters! That never crossed my mind lol! My mom bought me some of the "naked" brand juices with veggies and fruits in them and I've been diluting them with water! It's so good. I actually like the one that looks like mushed up peas lol. It has wheat grass and all kinds of stuff in it, but its so good lol.

just to put it out there, i HIGHLY recommend New Whey protein shots!!! i buy em at GNC but they are also sold online at www.newwhey.com. i make a large amount of the fruit punch flavor mixed with fruit punch crystal light and now i can get in 31.5g protein with only 16oz of fluid!! its super yummy! ^_^
