Just breathe! ! ! You're going to do great. If you get super anxious, tell the anesthesiologist that you need something before being wheeled back. I always insist on having a pre-op cocktail to calm my nerves. I always cry like a baby before surgery, and I have to go in extremely calm because I believe that going in calm will help result in an easier recovery.

Surgery is scary, and it's okay to be nervous. Just trust your surgeon, and know that you are doing something absolutely fabulous for your future health.

I am right with you Vicki, my surgery is 8:30 tomorrow. I cannot wait till its over. I think its good to try to keep busy today. I have a paper for school I have to complete and then do housework, plus were busy with Halloween. I have been on a liquid diet since yesterday and I am so jealous of your breakfast, that is my favorite meal. I don't have to drink that drink you have to. Good luck with that.

Were going to be fine with the surgery and remember in a few months how much weight were going to lose. Were going to be able to shop any where we want and enjoy things we haven't been able to do. When are you coming home, I come home Wednesday. Please post soon as you can, I will. I'll pray for you and everyone getting there surgery this week.

Talk to you soon, Janine

Here's another 1st of November sleever, and trust me you are not the only one nervous and rambling - I'm not having one sensible thought today and can't manage to string a sentence together when I'm talking to my daughters. Once again I find it strange how much guidelines differ; I'm supposed to be at the surgery at 9 tomorrow morning and my only restriction is no food after midnight tonight and only Clear liquids tomorrow morning. Good luck to us both for tomorrow!

I agree with Tiffykins!~ Breathe!!! It is okay. Surgery is definitely NOT a walk in the park, but you will be fine. Just think, after tomorrow, you can join us on the losers side. Hmm! Never thought I would enjoy being a LOSER

As everyone said, breathe! The surgery will go fine -- it will be sleep, awake, new you, but then the real work begins. You all will be fine and we look forward to seeing you all on the board when you're up to it :)

You are normal. We all have some anxiety. Surgery goes fast and the first two days will be over by Weds. sip, sip. sip and walk, walk, walk.

I am out of surgery 3 wks and am drinking normal. Remember everything is swollen and takes time to heal.

Keep us posted. You will be in my prayers. MN Mary

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
