June 24, 201016 yr I'm wondering if there is any sort of 'rule of thumb' with stalling or not. How far out were you if you experienced a stall in weight loss? Are lower BMI's more likely to experience onw that higher BMIs??
June 25, 201016 yr I hit my first stall around 9-10 weeks post-op. Stalled for about 9-10 days and then started dropping again. I was a lower BMI to start with - 36. Frankie VSG 03/22/10

Are lower BMI's more likely to experience onw that higher BMIs?? I was sleeved on 6/11 and I lost 14 lbs within the first week and in the past 6 days have only lost 2!! Kinda bummed but everyone says it will kick into gear again.
June 25, 201016 yr I'm pretty sure I am in a stall right now. I am only 15 days out and I am in day 5 of no scale moving.
June 25, 201016 yr I haven't actually hit a stall yet but the weight loss is very slow and steady. I tend to weigh every day and measure my losses in ounces. I know that seems silly, but it keeps me happy knowing that with a few exceptions, I have lost a number of ounces everyday. When you've been fat and fought it as long as I have, just seeing the scale go down steadily, instead of up, is pure satisfaction.

June 25, 201016 yr i had a huge one week stall at week five when i went from mushies to solids....after one week of not losing i lost another 1 1/2 pounds...have lost 36 1/2 lbs so far!!!
June 25, 201016 yr I have a one week stall every month the week before my period starts: probably I'm retaining water or something... I simply don't weigh myself for around 11-12 days a month, and always have dropped at least two pounds.
June 25, 201016 yr I had a stall around the 3-4 week post-op period that lasted for about 7 days. No movement but then things buzzed along. I am not concerned though because I do believe in this surgery and with following the rules, you really can't go wrong. Things will move when your body is good and ready. I think you also have to take into account how your clothes fit, too. You may not be moving much on the scale at times but your pants may be looser. That's progress! I am going through my 'old' clothes faster than I expected. I assumed I would have enough to last me until the end of the year but I think that thought is out the window now. I am down 4 sizes and I certainly didn't expect that. Good luck everyone.
June 25, 201016 yr Author I was sleeved on 6/11 and I lost 14 lbs within the first week and in the past 6 days have only lost 2!! Kinda bummed but everyone says it will kick into gear again. See I was done a day before you and stalled for 3 days then lost 0.75lb..... but still a loss... so don't think I have hit it just yet, just a mini version!
June 26, 201016 yr Hi, I was a lower BMI- 35, and I am 2 and half weeks out and I noticed the last 4 or 5 days I only lost a pound. I lost 23 before that including post-op. Sounds okay with everyone else too. I am trying not to count and wait it out for the next 6 months but you know that's hard!! I'm wondering if there is any sort of 'rule of thumb' with stalling or not.How far out were you if you experienced a stall in weight loss? June 27, 201016 yr I seemed to stall out a little when I went from full liquids to mushies. But I am steadily losing. I am a daily scale jumper too, hey it keeps me motivated to log my food everyday! About every 4 or 5 days the scale is either the same or will jump up a little and i simply do not record weight on those days cause it always goes down the next day. I am following a very low carb plan although I allow myself some flexibility on Saturday due to the weekend and trying to take a break but I am back on my strict plan Sunday through Friday. I also noticed during my period I do gain so again, I don't record weight at that time. I am averaging a 2.5 to 3 pound loss each week. I consider that safe and great! My immediate goal is to be below 150 in time for my trip to Disney that is in 14 days. I have 4 pounds to go! My next challenge will be to stay on my plan during that week of vacation with my family. Although walking around Disney and the Water park should help with weight loss! I also notice, if I am religious about getting my fluids in, my weight loss is consistent and good.
June 27, 201016 yr Hey great question! I had lost 17lbs since i came home but today I have gained 3 lbs! Its so discouraging but I think if I could have a good BM (tmi i know but im among friends:) Actually yesterday I had gains 1 then today 2 more so thats 2 days in a row with gain did anybody else do this?
June 27, 201016 yr Hey girl we are going to Universal on the 15th! I am so excited and praying I will fit in all the rides I have a question for you, Did you make it till 21 days on all liquids? I am struggling BAD with it right now. I am so tired of liquids and not at all satisfied. I really want some tuna or grits/oatmeal ect. How did you do? Thanks!
