Hi Tia! I am having my surgery the same day...the 11th! My doctor had me on a high Protein low carb diet 2 weeks out. Then 1 week out, I had to switch to full liquid diet. 2 days out (tomorrow) I have to go Clear liquids. I can't drink anything until Friday morning when they do the leak test. Don't know what I'm going to do.

GOOD LUCK on your surgery!!

Hey Tia, and best wishes on your upcoming surgery.

Go in with a positive attitude, come out expecting positive results. Have faith in your surgical team, and know that you are taking the first of many steps to healthier and happier life! ! !

Good luck on your surgeries!! You will both do just fine. My best advice is walk as soon as you can, it cuts down on the gas. This is actually a pretty easy surgery, you both will do great!

Best wishes to all of you having surgery on March 11th. It's a great time of the year on the cusp of Spring! As you already know as soon as you are allowed to drink just keep sipping. For me I loved sipping on ice chips with some apple juice mixed in...that helped so much. And walking was really important as well, to prevent blood clots and to alleviate gas which can cause pain. Don't stress, breath deep and release. Be patient with yourself and you should fare well.
