Yaaaaa, congratulations on setting your sleeve date!! I think you will be fine to go at it by the time your husband's birthday rolls around! I had surgery on 1/5 and my doctor told me that as soon as I felt up to it I could, and I felt up to it a week and a half after surgery. I took it a little easy, so you might not want to get too wild in the beginning...lol!! Another thing my doctor told me is that we are alot more fertile while losing weight so quickly. I thought that was an interesting tid bit since I had never heard that before, so for now I am using two kinds of birth control. I hope this helps, good luck!!

great!!! i don't think your husband will want to wait that long LOL, i did it as soon as i felt ready.....which was about like 10 days after my surgery.

goodluck.

Ah...a topic near and dear to my heart...or other places. They can be interchageable, ya know!

Honestly, the only problem I was careful about was, well, position. I was very careful not to put a strain or undue pressure on the operation area. Felt like a Baptist. Or the Catholic I am. But it was worth it...weight loss has created a larger sexual appetitie in me. And I guess that means I am not the only one happy!

OMG this cracked me up, like you only give it to him on his birthday. Hehehehe! I'm sure he gets it more often but it just really got me tickled and made my dad come over to read it and then got him tickled. LOL :)

I think I waited about 2 weeks. I was so tired that first 2 weeks.

Yeah, I think it was about 2 weeks or so...you should be fine!

I had not heard the thing about being more fertile while losing weight. That is SCARY!!! I want to finish losing before I get pregnant.

Lol. I am sooo glad you asked this question. I wasn't sure how I was going to ask my surgeon since my dad is going with me to Mexico and to the hospital!

After some surgeries, such as open heart surgery, you may feel fully recovered but you are at risk when you exert yourself too much. If your doctor cautions you against strenuous activity, such as running, brisk aerobic activity or shoveling snow, you should consider that a caution regarding having sex.

My doctor said no waiting time post op...I WAS SHOCKED LOL! I was like not a week wait or so? and he said nah you will be fine, he said I should have asked him privately if I wanted more time off then he would have said that at the pre op appt. (my hubby was with me when I asked) hahahahahahahaha! But I waited a week anyway, wasn't feeling good at all initially.

I was told to wait a month but since I have one incision that is driving me bat shit, I am still in a holding pattern at five weeks out!

It probably wasn't SMART, but I felt great and we were just careful....eight days after....we rented a beach house for week two of my recovery and it was just wonderful there on the Texas Gulf Coast!!!
