I'm New Here

Just wanted to introduce myself.......

I am currently going through all of my pre-op requirements. I am excited and excited and nervous all at once. I am 25 and live in Baltimore. I have been considering WLS for the past 3 yrs, first the band, then the rxy, and now I have finally decided on the Vsg!!!

I would really appreciate if anyone cares 2 share their story or insight with me.

P.S. I am a migraine sufferer and was wondering is/was there anyone who experienced migraines before WLS? If so, did they go away after losing the weight? If not, what are you able to take since having WLS?

Thanks in Advance:biggrin0:

Hey Sleevers......

Am new here too, and in the process of getting in with Dr Aceves.......VegasAngel...you have been soooooo helpful to me in reading your posts. They are recent and help me to look forward to getting things going. I am still working on logistics, so am cautiously optimistic I will be sleeved in the next few weeks. Thanks for the info about the heating pad, I would never have thought about that. And the Puffs? You mean like any kind of tissues, right? Any info is so helpful. Thanks

Glad I've been helpful to you -- any questions, just ask away. And yes, I only use Puffs Plus, but any tissues -- they don't have them at the hospital and I found the toilet tissue to be too rough on my nose. I also took babywipes to wipe after urinating as I tend to have a reaction to tissues that have any perfumes in them -- I don't think the one used at the hospital did; however, I am always careful.

Good luck on getting your surgery date - you'll be thrilled with your choice of Dr. Aceves.

am cautiously optimistic----GBG

WHEN you choose the good DR Aceves, you will be sooooooooooo impressed not with just him, but the entire experiance in Mexico. HE is great teh staff is great and teh hospital is clean. I NEVER EVER liked a hospital (gives me the creeps) this one didnt, I am happy to say that was a BIG part of me making my mind up to be sleeved on July 11th.....MAKE IT WORK---YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID

Did you forget my hubby is a chiropractor? :001_smile: Nah mine is caused by a damaged nerve in my eye from a car accident. But a lot of people do get them from TMJ.

Hi Im new here too. I was sleeved 14 Oct 09 and so far have lost 37kg. Yippee !!!
