Hi all,
Just want to share a quick story. I was banded on 8/7. For the last 3 weeks I've been losing a pound here and there but nothing to write home about. I was exercising everyday and following my diet. Incredibly frustrating! I have a very stressful job (social worker for child protection) and my husband and I are adopting our first child who will be born in 8 days. So needless to say, my life had a lot of stress. At work my caseload was getting increasingly stressful so I took off 2 weeks from work before the baby arrives. It's been 1 week since my leave began and I've lost 5 pounds. 2 weeks ago I was struggling to not gain and now I'm down 5 (and exercising 4 days a week not 7). I never before believed the whole "stress makes it harder to lose weight" thing. Let me tell you, I am now a believer!! So if there is anyone out there that can relate to this story, please take the time to take care of yourself...especially after a life changing surgery. Thanks for reading
