  3. If you can drink I don't think you've slipped ... You might just be a lil inflamed like when you first had surgery ... Just take it easy with liquids and rest. Happens to the best of us.
  4. It's no secret but not many know that I jump on this site from time to time. I have a FB weight loss Page that I created for me and my closets friends but I don't openly share about my band. On here I'm able to talk a lil more freely because everyone or should I say most here can relate. I just don't want to be overweight again so whatever it takes.

  6. Yes I agree! I've mentioned this to my doctor before and he didn't really have an answer. When I'm frustrated or really upset my band seems tighter.
  7. I have issues with rice and extremely dry meats. Also I don't eat ribs! Other than that most things are ok. Either I have to chew more of can only handle is small amounts. Oh fish ... I have to always eat fish with something else or I have issues.
  8. My port is perfect but I have had irritations around if from time to time. Or should I say it can become sensitive from time to time. I think a lil soreness sometimes is consider normal but that's what you pay your doctor for so I would still put in a call to his office.

  10. I'm agree with most others here. Me and rice do not get along and if I do eat sushi it's a very slow process. *chew chew chew* Even then I can only eat a few pieces.
  11. Congrats ... I was the same way with my first fill. I have actually only had about 3 or 4 fills in almost 2 years but I have had a few unfills. Everyone is different though, I only have 1.8 cc in my 10 cc band. Don't get caught up in the fill mind game just pay attention to your body and if you fill full.
  12. Just an update ... I hit the ground hard and decided to push it hard until I hit my goal. I'm happy to report I'm down an additional 7 lbs!
  13. I fly all the time and have never had any issues, I'm like many people in the thread I didn't know there were restrictions/ guidelines for flying.
  14. Okay when it comes to the fill ... I've noticed that meat/ protein will just not go down and when you struggle with protein you reach for other things that will. I have been able to get up to 2.4cc but I don't think it's a much about the fill as most people make it. I know people who have lost very well and with no fill.
  15. So I only have 1.8cc in my 10cc band and I struggle with rice but no problems with bread. However bread and rice should be eaten very sparingly. I use to struggle with shrimp, chicken, and steak after enduring that for a few weeks I knew I was too tight for my personal preference.
  16. Will do! You already have great results so far, relax and get some rest! I know you're probably walking the floor crazy!
  17. Ok I was banded a year and half ago (Apr 2011) ... I weighted in at 283 and I am now down to 217. I've gotten down to 210 and over the last few weeks have gotten careless in my eating habits and have gained a few pounds. I get frustrated because I know the band works different for everybody but I see people reach their goals in 6 - 9 months. I do believe not rushing to get the weight off has helped with the excess skin but I'm so ready to get to my goal weight of 185! I have basically no fluid in my band (1.8 cc in my 10 cc band) I can't manage a fill more than this because it makes it really difficult to get my food down. Like the title says I'm just feeling some type of way ... I have recently moved overseas also in support of my spouse so I don't have all the wonderful amenities that I'm use to in the states. So excusing has drastically deceased but fresh fruit and veggies are dirt cheap so cooking has gotten easier. :-/ I guess I just needed to vent!
