pain at port....

I was banded July 9. I've lost 50+ pounds. This morning I've had pain at my port site. Its like a ripping sensation. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a small bit of pain, but I figured it was regular healing. This is far worse. Around the site is pinkish..... normal or just part of the process?

i didn't have any complications from surgery. this doesn't sound normal to me. i think this requires a call to the doctor so they can determine if you have a infection

My port is perfect but I have had irritations around if from time to time. Or should I say it can become sensitive from time to time. I think a lil soreness sometimes is consider normal but that's what you pay your doctor for so I would still put in a call to his office. :)

The mention of discoloration is what concerns me. Call you doc, don't wait until the weekend when you may not be able to reach them.
