Upper GI

Was it just me, but did anyone else find the Upper GI ghastly? I think b/w the shot alka selser chased by the barium nearly made me almost vomit all over the machine ... I hope post sx they don't make me do the Alka Selser ...

I agree K, Upper GI's are no fun! The barium doesn't bother me as much as the incredibly unnatural feeling of having a large scope rammed down your throat. I always laugh when they tell me I won't remember a thing... Gives me shivers just thinking about it!

I feel the same way. Had a TNE yesterday I had gas at both ends, pain in my stomach and still have sore throat. I hope that is last thing like that they have to do before surgery.

This stuff sounds way worse than the actual surgery -- that's going seem like such a breeze......
