6 day post op.

Still having some gas pains which is really annoying but it's getting better. My incisions are getting itchy so I'm assuming all is healing good except one incision which is still bleeding red blood a little bit. It's been bleeding since hospital I guess glue didn't close it so good. I am tolerating mushy foods great. Can't believe how little food makes me full. I'm still trying to learn when to take that last bite and not over do it. I'm surprised by how liquid like water are harder for me to get down without taking slow sips. I used to gulp down cups of water now it hurts if I take too big a sip. So I take my tiny sips. I have lost 5.6lbs since surgey as of yesterday. Which makes total weight loss since preop diet 18lbs. Which now puts me at 224lbs. Soooo close to be under 200lbs. I can't wait. I know I still have healing to do and not to expect too much as far as weight loss goes in these few months but so far soooo good. ???

Great to hear you are doing so well. I'm going back to work eight days after surgery and it sounds like I should be good to go.

Congratulations and thanks so much for posting -- so helpful to know what others are going through as I try to get prepared.
