nautious

I was banded on May 16th, and at my follow up appointment was told to slowly introduce soft foods. Now everytime I eat, even if it is only one small bite, I get nautious. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Don't mix food with liquids.. Wait about an hour or so drink anything after you eat. If you fill your stomach, the drink, there isn't any room for it to funnel into your stomach, hence comes back up

  • How long have you been nauseous? I only experienced one episode of nausea and that was about 3 weeks post op. I was fine after I reassessed my diet and waited at least an hour to drink anything after

I havent been drinking while eating. I went back to a full liquid diet for a day, and I am feeling much better. Thanks for everyone's advice!

I had some eggs and Beans. And a Protein shake, which made me wanna puke too. Then I ate 2 bites of ground turkey and mashed asparagus.

What I started on soft foods, eggs made me ill. And I normally like eggs. I'm fine with them now, but when introducing foods back in, some things trigger that nauseous feeling. As mentioned by other posters......take it very slow. Refried beans with a little melted cheese was my savior during that phase. Also, a baked potato (without the skin) with some cottage cheese also saved me.
