  4. I think everyone has the same fears going into this. My biggest fear is failure... not losing weight and being doomed the ridicule of people who are now supporting me, and never getting out of plus size clothing. Above everything else, ive learned to view this as an opportunity. Its a sacrifice and a shot in the dark. Ive been amazed at how well I have commited myself to the lifestyle change. It feels good to see the scale going down and to think im going in the right direction. Im 3 weeks post-op and I know there will be frustrations and set backs to come. But for now, im taking advantage of the opportunity. I think you might also surprise yourself at the success you'll achieve.
  5. I had some eggs and beans. And a protein shake, which made me wanna puke too. Then I ate 2 bites of ground turkey and mashed asparagus.
  6. I was banded on May 16th, and at my follow up appointment was told to slowly introduce soft foods. Now everytime I eat, even if it is only one small bite, I get nautious. Has anyone else been experiencing this?
  7. I was told 1000 calories\day. But I guess that differs by surgeon.

  9. I was banded on the 16th, and I feel the same way after I took a long drive. It lasted a day or so and just went away. I think the jiggling upsets it at first. Damn jiggling.
  10. I felt the same way. Im 5 days post-op now and feel 20x better than the second day. I think it could be the anesthesia. I was nautious and dizzy for a few days and it eventually passed. Hope it gets better for you
  11. Yes. I was weighed at my check up yesterday. I had lost 11lbs since thursday, which seems like a lot to me. My doc wasnt too concerned about it, so ill just be thankful to have it gone.

  13. Yea. So far so good. Ill try the 30min rule from now on. I do still have the gas pains in my shoulders occasionally, but I can tell that they are slowly easing up. I was told to start trying new soft foods, and yogurt seemed like a good choice.
  14. I ate a yogurt today for the first time. Took me and hour and a half. Is that normal, or am I being overly cautious?
  15. How long did it take before this "stomach ache" goes away?
