Well I am thrilled that I got approved ! I'm waiting on them to call me for my preop diet appt with my surgeon. I haven't told anyone for fear of negative reactions and people trying to talk me out of it . I went to my moms today and I almost broke down and told her prematurely. I wanted to but I knew she would not b leery abt the idea . I want to tell her when I have my date set . This way it's nothing else to say . I'm not changing my mind regardless . It's something I need to do for me ! And I'm sooooo happy that this is a tool I can use.

Congratulations on your approval! I was approved a couple weeks ago and I am so excited. I am scheduled for surgery June 11th. I completely understand not telling people. I have been really struggling with that myself lately. Not sure who to tell or not tell. It took me a while to tell my best friend because I new she would be against surgery. But when I told her about all the research I had done and explained it all to her she was supportive. I have been working towards this for almost a year and I couldn't be happier that it is finally time for my surgery. Happy for you and wish you the best :-)

Congrats!!!! I'm glad you're sticking to your choice, regardless. I had zero real support when I made my decision, and a year later, I'd still do it again.

Congrats on ur approval, I only told a few also 4 the same reason, but u will be fine... I just had the sleeve surgery on the 28th & glad I did it

Got my surgery date ! July 5 th! I am so excited . I wish I had someone to tell but I don't because I don't want to share it with anyone ! It sucks!

Congrats!!! Im still at the beginning stages, doing my sleep test tonite, having to wait six months before my insurance can approve me. However, i know what you mean by not wanting to tell anyone. I had MENTIONED it to my sister in law just to get her reaction and she said that would be STRAIGHT OUT CHEATING!! Kind of felt discouraged after that. However, after my husband and I spoke about, i was fine again. I know i dont need anyones approval but God and my husbands, if they are both fine with it, the heck to everyone else and their opinions. Best of luck!!

Congrats! So we will be lapband buddies! I'm planning my vacation around mine! I'm starting preop diet on June 25th ! Mind over matter is right. I gotta get my head right . Our lives r changing ! I already starting working out! My husband has been encouraging me to start now ! I'm glad because I wouldn't have started !
