No Plication but surgery on Monday!!

The doctors office called me today to tell me the IRB still hasn't approved plication. I am going on and having the band Monday.

    well as you know ive been worried about extra cost for plication. Tricare wouldn't cover any complications f I had plication since its not FDA approved ~~ guess the good lord made my decision. I only need to lose 5o-6o lbs I feel like I can do it with the band!!

    Ya, how does the band NOT slip up without plication? Isn't that where they stitch a part of the stomach around the band and back onto itself?

    Actually plication procedure that I have heard about is where they fold the stomach in on itself and then stitch it. So it resembles the gastric sleeve without the cutting and removal of the stomach.
