  1. That's awesome that the gas pains are gone. Good luck to you in your recovery!
  2. Best of luck to you, everything will turn out fine. We'll be seeing the weight loss posts soon!
  3. I think she will be completely supportive when you drop all that weight. Or, if she is also a large person, she is going to be very jealous! Either way, if she is a really good friend, like Missy said, be firm and let her know that although she may not agree, she could keep it to herself. You might let her know, that you have heard her side now, and she doesn't really need to continue to push the issue. Something else i thought of, if she is also a larger person, she may already be jealous of your movements to make a better you, who knows. Best of luck in getting it all ironed out.
  4. I'm not banded myself, but congrats on making it to day 5! I have heard of folks being quite hungry, and also have heard of those who aren't so hungry, it's just a toss up person to person. Good luck to you.

  14. Hey man dont sweat it. Do they not support you be ause they dont understand what the procedure does? Or do they just think you should be able to do it on your own? Or may e they are just concerned for you having surgery at all similar to how my wife was until i fully exained it to her. Regardless they will support you when you are dropping double digits!! Go for it anyways without their support.

  27. Imo, if you have done your research and know the pros and cons then stay away from negative topics. If you understand the risks and are ok with them, keep your head filled with the positive stories.
  28. Found this neat little chart when i qas studying about hunger. Thought i would share it. http://kimbensen.com/tips/physical-hunger-vs-head-hunger
  29. I really enjoyed that post. Thank you
  30. God, may you guide the hands of the surgeons that will be banding these good folks tomorrow. Please give them a quick recovery and bless their lap band journey. Amen!
  31. Thanks Jackie, I think i may have to scour the forums for all the different responses, which i don't mind, since the place if loaded with info, and i'll probably learn even more. However, for this post I will go first. Head Hunger - In the past when i have defeated head hunger whether one time, or for even one day was when i kept myself busy with something I liked. I wished I was then strong enough to constantly hold it back but I was not. However, with some of these techniques plus the band, I believe i can do it. So: Issue: Head Hunger Response - get busy with a hobby. (mine is woodworking with my scroll saw)
