Best advice? Don't sweat it. Really isn't a big deal, I have had flu shots that caused more pain.

Not a big deal and they may be able to do a bit of freezing if you like. I think my first fill she did a little more digging around with her fingers to find the port, but once she did she noted it in my file and has hit it smack on, on all my other fills. Apart from the needle prick you really don't feel anything. easy peasy. Good luck.

I'm having my first fill on Thursday. Good luck to you.

All I can say is good luck! I'm only 12 days post op, so I don't have experience with that other than my nurse practitioner telling me it's a special kind of needle that many of her patients barely feel. You can do this!!

I'm 6 weeks post-op and going for my 3rd fill tomorrow. It's really nothing more than a little stick and its so fast. You will do fine. Good luck!

I had band with plication, This will be my first fill, I'm 8 months post, down 65 lbs but I've stopped losing weight about a month ago, I'm not gaining just not losing!

There is no need to be scared. My first fill took about 5 mins. What's ironic, is that I'm afraid of needles. All I felt was a little pinch. You will be just fine

first why are u scared and second there isnt any need to be scared depending on your body you wont start feeling restriction till ur 6 th fill the first visit is a piece of protien shake :) they weigh u do vitals ask about ur meds go over ur diet plan and answer any questions u may have then fill you and ur off to work on ur next visit thats my routine everytime give or take pretty much the same so dont worries breath take it easy and know that no matter what you already did ur best :) good luck !!!

Oh I had no idea I wouldn't feel any restrictions till after the 6 th fill? I have very little now with no fill, I just assumed a fill would give me restriction.

yeah it just depends on ur body it could be ur 4 th 6th maybe even ur 8th till u feel perfect!!! :) so no worries but right now u feel restricted cause uv just had surgery youre swollen and my dr put just a lil fill in there to begin w to see how ill do with surgery and the band
