Date got changed

I just got a call from my surgeon's office and they told me that the surgeon isn't available on the day that I was scheduled for surgery so they have to change it. So instead of surgery on March 5th and arrival time at the hospital at 5:45 am, I will now be going on March 7th and arrival time at 9:30 am. I am bummed about the change, but at least it's only two days difference.

  • I have 2 weeks 2 days to go and honestly not sure if I am ever going to make it. I am ready for a change and when I set my mind to it...I don't want things like the surgeon's schedules or anything to

Finally someone who gets it! Yes, its only two days, but I was set on that day. Now I have to re-set on the 7th. I can do it, but I am not a patient person either! LOL

I feel the same way. congrats on your date. I am sure it will all go according to plan for you!

That would make me crazy...My surgery was planned for March 15th and when I went in today we moved it up to March 1st which I am so excited about...also nervous. We are almost there! Yay

Oh boy, I understand. Sorry your date got postponed--it is frustrating when you have all your plans ready to go with time off work, babysitters, meals, etc. I'm glad it is only 2 days for you.

My surgery was supposed to be Feb 11th (yesterday). My surgeon postponed because pre-op lab work showed a high white blood count. Not significantly high, but he won't put an artificial apparatus in anyone with an abnormal WBC. So I'm finishing up my antibiotics today and will get rechecked again tomorrow. Who knows when it will happen. Next surgical date is the 25th. Ugh.

Bummer! And we were supposed to be surgery day twins! However, on the bright side you get to sleep in a little later on your surgery day. Just keep your eyes on the prize. We've all spent years as we are, you can do just 2 more days for sure.
