Hang in there! Chinese will still be there after surgery when you get back on solids. However if you clocked your partner on the back of the head I wouldn't blame you one bit!

Last night, my hubbs made party melts with bacon and mushrooms and lots of cheese......... While I had broth. Effing broth.

Egg drop soup, IMHO, would be an all liquid. Mine ate pizza the night before my surgery... I was almost homicidal... I think it would have been "justifiable"!

I'd kill my partner for that! Couldn't wait one more day, huh? At least tomorrow you could have blended it!

Blended food- i wonder if thats weird or good or what? Or does it basically taste the same lol. It sounds so weird throwing an entire dinner i a blender and eating it. Lol

Sounds like it would be similar to canned cat food..

Thanks for making me laugh guys lol

I think you need to use his insensitivity as leverage. Tell him how you feel now, and that he can make it up to you by buying you your favorite chinese dishes in 6 weeks when you are ready to eat. And he has to buy you a new blouse to wear. And he has to buy you flowers that night. And he has to do the dishes when dinner is over. (That is if you do take-out).

What do you say ladies? Shouldn't she make him pay?

To his day my Wife still orders Cheeseburgers, steak, Pasta dishes...all those things I never eat anymore....eventually I learned my new lifestyle and it does not bother me anymore....food and hunger for that matter are no longer issues.....

Hang in there....it takes time.....but the band does work!

I'm like B-52, hub chooses to eat what ever he wants. He didn't sign up for a lifestyle change, I did.

After awhile, it really doesn't bother you. My oldest daughter is always apologizing for eating things in front of me and I'm always saying "really, it doesn't bothed me, don't worry about it". After 3 1/2 mths, you'd think she'd learn.

I still think "clocking" your partner is still funny though.lol

Blondie - don't worry about blended foods. After being on the pre op diet and post op liquids the first "bite" of those blended foods is going to be bliss! When I got to soft foods and could have a scrambled egg you would have thought I was eating caviar...it was the best darned thing I ever had!

I start on cream soups, oatmeal and similar things tomorrow and cannot wait, although my hubs and kids eating pizza tonight was brutal!

My fam had tacos.... My soup didn't quite taste tht good...
