Hello this is my first post

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone. I hope I'm posting this the right way.

I was banded on 12/21 and so far things are going great. I think the worst part for me was the pressure from the gas used during surgery. I'm a week into the liquid diet and I'm really surprised that I haven't been hungry. ALTHOUGH, I have been having really weird dreams about eating things I shouldn't lol I told my husband there more like nightmares because even in my dream I remember think WHY am I eating this its really gonna hurt when it goes down. Anyone else experience these types of weird dreams?

Welcome Beffy! I was banded on the 17th. Haven't had nightmares about food hurting but while I'm awake a worry about getting filled and the stucks people talk about. The unknown can be scary. But we can do it!!!!!

OMG! I thought I was the only one! I remember early on having a dream about demolishing a carne asada burrito and getting stuck. It was the only dream I've ever had like that, so it really stuck out. Haven't had another since.

Welcome to the forums! :-)

Congratulations on your new healthy life.

One thing I always say is if only we could band our head. The band helps with the physical eating but it does nothing to our head. Your dreams are your head messing with you. The head hunger, emotional eating, boredom eating, etc will not change with the band. It is up to you to battle that (& that's the hard part!) But with us to support you, I know you can do it!

Good luck to you!!
