  • Thank you all. You have been very helpful. The bayer doesn't say baby but it is the 81mg coated. Is that the same? Wendy

I take nsaids all the time with no issues. It goes straight through and I need it for my arthritis. I would ask your doctor though because that is just me. Any nsaids with or without the band can cause stomach issues and bleeding. I just take it with food thats all.

i have been taking a baby aspirin since my surgery two and a half years ago. i just take the coated 81 mg and they haven't caused me any trouble.

Talk to your doctor to be sure, but unless you had problems with NSAIDS and/or ulcers before band surgery, it's highly unlikely you'll start having problems with them now.

I take it everyday for heart precautions. The only time I stopped was 10 days prior to lapband surgery.
