being so new banded, and swollen, sipping/drinking too much at one time, you can get nauseated as i learned that quickly..so take baby sips..

I've also have tried baby sips...anyone have a flavor preference with the isopure zero??

ISOPURE zero the alpine fruit. The doctor said the clear one only for me. If you can call your doctors office tomorrow.

My clinic (and they are all different) wasn't too worried my first week post op to get the Protein in, they just wanted me hydrated and healing. I went back to my pre op protein shakes which I have to buy, but that was okay. They also suggested adding cottage cheese to my Soups for protein and putting it all in a blender.

good luck.

So I went and got the isopure apple melon...and it seems to be better...I think it was the flavor

Try to find musle milk at the store or have someone go or try the special k protein water , I really prefer the musle milk but u have to shake the premade ones & try all the flavors so u can find the flavor u like thre best I stll drink them I had surgery on the 28th of Sept & have lost about 46 lbs.

I struggled with protein drinks during the early days, they all tasted like yuck to me. I could not get past the smell. I did the unflavored protein in my morning coffee. I know, I know we are not suppose to drink coffee, but this is the one way in the early days of banding that I could get my protein down. I did a skinny tall latte from star bucks, I mixed my unflavored protein in 2 ozs of water and added it to my drink. I also added this to my cream soups and instant mashed potato's. I struggled eating enough protein in calories in the early band days and had to be very inventive to get enough nutrition in. Good luck, the isopure is also good, I like the grape. I tried the protein shots and I have not found one yet that I like.

Try the GNC Lean protein shakes. They are amazing. I was not able to tolerate anything and finally someone on here told me to try these. You will not believe how they changed my life. They come in three different flavors. They are pre packaged and easy to bring anywhere. Good Luck!
