It's actually not uncommon at all. There are a lot of internal sutures after surgery. Sometimes they don't dissolve properly and work their way up through the skin, causing redness, puss filled pimp

I too had 3out of 5 incisions that the sutures had to be pulled out b/c of not dissolving. Did take a little longer for those incisions to heal.

Thank you Mis73. the nurse said she hadn't seen it for a while and it made me real worried. I get my first fill on the 20th. Kept thinking this was going to keep it from happining by not healing righ

I had surgery on Nov 13th 2012 and i have had pain at the port site and not healing right, wanting to split open. I went to the Doctor yesterday and the nurse pulled the suture out!!! She told me my body was rejecting the suture. Let me tell you that hurt like hell!! She had me sit on my hands so i wouldn't grab her when she pulled it out. It was a 3in long piece of what looked like fishing line!! Was wondering if anyone else has had this happen?
