Day 3 Post

Hey so I'm on day 3 doing the liquid diet but I tried some chicken broth n I couldn't stomach it bc it was nasty. Maybe bc I picked up the store brand instead of Swanson. Is it ok if I brought fat free or low sodium chicken noodle soup n drain everything and drink that instead?

I would talk to your doctor. I am on a full liquid diet until my first post-op appt. I only had to be on clear liquids the day I had the surgery.

Ok thanks

The Unjury chicken protein powder is FANTASTIC! You just have to be careful of the fluid temperature. If it gets too hot, it turns into chunks and is no longer enjoyable. I have a friend that had RNY, and she sprinkles the chicken protein powder on all of her dinner meats.

I completely agree!!!

All these doc do things so differently. I am on clear liquids, broth-low salt fat free, sugar free pops, decaf tea or coffee water and protein drink like ensure or boost, only 6 oz a day. He told me and it is also written on the form, if it isnt on this list, you can't have it. I would check with your doctor on adding anything that wasn't on your list
