  1. Congratulations!! My surgery is Thursday at 10:45 and I have to be there at 8:45
  2. Yes! We are going to crush it!!
  3. My preop diet started today. It’s feeling real now!
  4. That’s awesome! I had my band 10 years ago and I started the process in September to see about converting to bypass. I was approved today for surgery and my surgery date is January 26!!! I also have Blue Cross Blue Shield, and was approved in less than 48 hours
  5. Of course! I have not! I’m hoping for the same with the Bypass as well. I feel very lucky!
  6. I’m having band to bypass revision in January. My band is 10 years old and has never been filled. If it was in good shape and in place/no erosion they can do it in one. If not, it’s a two step procedure. My fluoroscopy and endoscopy showed it’s in great shape and in place so it will be removed and bypass in one. I’m almost through my preop stuff, and hoping for a date in January after approval.
  7. Hi! I’m on a similar path. I have my endoscopy Thursday and my psych eval Monday! I’m excited
  8. @getfitasamother I’m glad I’m not alone in that. What’s up next for you preop wise? I have an upper endoscopy next week.
  9. It is so interesting how every program is different. I love hearing about everyone’s journey and the process.
  10. Not waking up. I’m anxious though by nature. Lol
  11. Hey! I got my first round of blood work done, and projected surgery date is January. I’m iron deficient, which is chronic for me, low folate, low vitamin d, which I knew, and low B1 thiamine plasma. The B1 and Folate were a total surprise to me. My results came in tonight, but my surgeon hadn’t reviewed them yet, but here I am researching anyway. Lol. I’m sure she will get me all situated with additional vitamins. Did anyone else have abnormal blood work before surgery? I’m so excited for this journey, and can’t wait to see improvement on all of my numbers, and not just my weight! ?
  12. I have MS and had the band 10 years ago. Now I’m back, and going to get Gastric Bypass. My MS was a non issue.
