  2. I used to drink regular pepsi every day, and now i just drink plain old water. It's easy, free, and in every place i might go. Lol. I have made peace with knowing i will never have pepsi again, because my health is more important. I am not interested in any kind of slippage lol
  3. I guess all dr's are different. Mine recommends 3 meals a day and two protein based snacks.
  4. Can anyone give me different meal ideas that work for you? I am transiting into soft foods, so adding in meats and fish. We will be traveling for the holiday, so i know its not ideal, but i know there will be options. What are some of your favorites?
  5. Mine seemed to slow down for a few days, but my dr said it's normal and our bodies are healing. I am down another pound today, after some crazy fluctuations these last few days. Tomorrow i will be 2 weeks post op and my dr is thrilled with my progress. 31.2 since i started my preop liquid diet!
  6. Oh ok i have been having 4 oz and maybe that's why i am still hungry. I have had 1 cup of soup total (4oz each time) and 4 oz of cream of wheat. I will just keep sipping water until i can have another tonight.
  7. Hey everyone! I am day 13 post op and i have a bad cold. I am so hungry, and i am not sure if it is just that I'm getting my appetite back or hungry from being sick. I have been having Soup and cream of wheat, as I'm not on solids yet. Anyone else going through this too? I am not sure if i should keep having more as my body tells me every few hours or just ignore it.
  8. Thanks ladies! I think i will stick to my tortilla soup without actual tortillas. . Keep pureeing it until Wed
  9. Oh yes just lean turkey lol no sausage. Lol. Thank you for the suggestions. These are great! I move on to soft foods wednesday. I can have regular meat, crackers, and i don't have to blend or puree my soups. .
  10. We can do this!!! I was just banded on the 6th, and know what you are feeling, but look how far we have come in just this short time. We can get through this. The best way to get through it, is to have a plan. I am bringing my food scale and am sticking to my serving size. I know i will focus on Protein and start with turkey, and have a tiny bit of other things. This is the beginning of our new lives! Such an exciting time! Good luck to you!
  11. Is finely ground turkey and mashed bananas considered mushies? I keep seeing people eating these things, but i wasn't sure. I will ask my dr Monday, just curious what the consensus was. .
