Mushy Stage.

I was banded on 10/15, lost eleven pounds my first week! I just started the "mushy" foods stage, and I feel like I can eat so much! Nothing like what I could eat before, but Im so scared to gain the weight I lost my first two weeks, that it consumes my thoughts with each bite I take. Am I being paranoid?

As the swelling goes down you will get hungrier, your band isn't working for you right now, so you have to be conscience of what you are eating...........follow your dr's instructions and you will be fine.

yes so stop

there is no need

eat and feed your body and stop worrying about gaining until at least a month post op

stressing over things wont do you any good. you are still recovering from major surgery

i agree with wild..just do what your dr advised and you will be fine

You will get there. As you heal you will get fills to help you. Right now it is on you to do what you know you should! Actually it will always be on you. Not to be depressing, but one thing I do know, stressing will make you eat more! So I'm with CarolinaGirl, STOP!

I am on pureed foods right now and find I am starting to get hungry in between meals.

I am still sticking to my allotted amount of food so I dont do anything to harm my band or my chances of losing weight.

I start soft food on Saturday so I am hoping that may help a little.
