Quick Question

I was banded on 10/1, and the first night I couldn't keep any of the food that the hospital gave me down . but after that first day I have been able to keep everything down. I am following the post op diet, strictly liquids. my question is once I hit the 1 week post op mark should I move ontoto the mushie phase?

It depends on your doctors orders. Every doctor has different post op diets and it is important to follow your doctors orders. Call your doctor if you are unsure. Take care.

All docs are different. I couldn't do mashies until after 2 weeks

The above ladies are right, every doctor is different and has different ideas what works. You should've received a post op diet plan from your doctor. Either pull it out and have a look or call and find out.

Just FYI, I was on liquids for 4 weeks post surgery.

what do your dr's instructons say?

its best to do what your surgeon recommends.

(you may read on here that its okay) but id def would suggest not since you were banded 3 days ago

no need to rush, you need to heal.

please check with your doc and nutritionist! they are all soooo different

this is a great forum but, we do not have all the answers! you need to get a good relationship going with your docs.
