call up your surgeon right away!

Sounds like you have something stuck, or your band has slipped. Get to your Doc ASAP! Let us know how you are! Hope all is well soon.

I agree w/ all the posters - call your surgeon asap please.

Were you able to get in touch with your surgeon? If you have graduated from mushies to soft foods it may have been too soon and food could be "stuck". Different surgeons progress this patients at different rates.

Your band may also be too full. I know this sounds funny to those post-surgery without having a first fill. However, some surgeons put in fluid at the time of surgery. It may be too much for you.

There could be other contributing factors as well, however, only your doctor can tell you for sure what is going on. If you haven't already contacted him/her, please do so immediately.

Please update us on your progress when you have time. I'm curious as to what it was.

Blessings to you !

Hello Everyone!!

I just left the doctor's office and everything is much better. I explained to them how I started having trouble keeping anything down as of Monday 8-27-12. She stated she would need to remove the fluid. As soon as it was removed I felt much better. I am due back in 2 weeks and she said they would fill it again if i needed it. I am having to learn to eat slowly now and that is one of my down falls. I have been a very fast eater for many years. So she said I probably irritated it and it was working to hard to push the food down. I had my surgery on 8-10-12 and I have lost 14 lbs so far :-) Thank everyone for your concern and comments. Have a blessed day!!!

I too was a Gulper-wash it down with a BIG swig of fluid....a fundamental Error of Eating for sure.

Glad to hear you are doing well now.

Retraining that Gulp method doesn't take as long as I thought it would either.

Learn to nibble-nibble-nibble. My first 6 months it would take about 10 minutes to eat a soda cracker....but the habit of tiny vs Gulp has served me well.

Cheers on your journey.

I now eat with a baby spoon. If it is too big for that spoon, it is too big for that band. Glad to hear you are well.
