Hi, Im new to the forum and I am scheduled for my consultation on next week. I am definitely going through with surgery, and almost totally convinced that I am going to be banded. I am pretty much torn between banding and the sleeve. Has anyone ever been torn? I am at a a place in my life where i want to take control of my weight and health. Any advice and thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks!

I was banded 6/14. Didn't know anything about the sleeve until after my surgery. I have been doing ok with the band. I am down 30 lbs from my pre band and pre op diet weight. It is still hard work, but worth it.

Just a thought....band can be removed fairly easy. Sleve not so much.

I chose the band because it's less invasive, faster recovery and can be removed if needed. I don't know that much about the sleeve although I heard a little during some of the seminars. What do you like/don't like about the two?
