Intimacy Question!

Hey everyone, I'm not quite sure how to ask this so I'm just going to go for it.....I am still pre-surgery and typically enjoy intimacy with my husband a few times per week. I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with intimacy (discomfort, port sensitivity, etc.) after surgery. I did have two c-sections so I know I will have to take a few weeks to heal, etc., but I am looking forward to the positive benefit LBS will have on my intimate life LOL! Thank you!

  • About a week for me... And as long as you brought this up, I can share up a very private little NSV! Last night, the first time in about 9 years, I could see over my belly enough to watch. woo woo!!

  • I find that certain...positions...are not as comfortable because of my port placement. Not pain per se, just uncomfortable. But only when I'm bent in half or scrunched up. Okay, yeah, TMI...

I'd say for at least a few days to maybe a week you may be too sore, but I don't remember having to wait too long after. :-)

If it doesn't hurt, go for it. I did and had no problems. :)

I had some port soreness because of the stomach muscle use but nothing bad at all.

I was turned off for about two weeks cause I was just so tired. I am a stomach sleeper and couldnt get comfortable. Just see how you feel and take it from there. You might have to get imaginative but that the fun part.

I agree about 1 week that was how it was for me....

I had discomfort; had a a really bad yeast infection from the antibotics after surgery. So once that cleared up my PH balance was off for several weeks afterwards, something I had never experinced before.

I was good about a week post op. just felt a little yucky and nauseous a few days but I had a reaction to anesthesia.

I propped pillows under my stomach to reduce until it no longer bothered me!

6 months post op and depending on the position my port site still bothers me. Not too painful just uncomfortable.

No issues at all, enjoy!!! ;)

I like the way you think ;) Thank you to everyone who has responded! After all, If we can't be real with each other, who can we be real with?
