July 30Th Is My Big Day!!!

First off, thanks to everyone who shares their experiences on this site. The forums have been so helpful!!!

My surgery has been scheduled for July 30th!!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!! Gotta tell you guys, I'm so nervous about this two week diet (which I start tomorrow). 10 lbs in 2 weeks?!?!? Yikes! In fact, I'm about to go out to shop for my shakes & grocery items. I think I can...I think I can...I know I can :)

So happy for you! Yah!

I'm on the two week pre op protein diet now. It's my 3rd day and I was very nervous. I didn't think I would be able to stick to liquids but you know what? It's not that bad. My doctor has me on a medical grade protein. I'm getting 107 gr. of protein a day and it's all I can do to get it all in . Very filling.

I can also have green veggies, just to keep my bowels working. Just plain, with nothing on them. At least a bit of something to chew while my hubby has his dinner.

We can and will do this. We are strong. We are the July Band Sisters! lol

Good luck!

Good luck! I start my pre op diet on Wednesday...I'm a little nervous but I know I can do it!

Congratulations!!!! Don't sweat the diet. How many times in your life have you dieted successfully for a few weeks, it's nuthin! This is the rest of your life now and you own it! Be well. Let us know how it goes.

Congrats!!!! Just relax... The protein will fill u up. The diet isn't as bad as you think it is.

Thanks guys. I've made up mind that I absolutely will not get on the scale during these two weeks. LOL! Im just going to stick to Dr. Reilly's instructions, listen to the advise I get from you guys, and continue to be excited. I've done my happy dance so many times since my appointment that I may have already lost 10lbs!! LOL!!!

Ooh you have the same surgeon as me! Dr. Reilly is great, I'm SO happy I got paired with him. I'm getting banded on August 2nd just a few days after you! I did the diet for a few days just in case I got an earlier surgery date. It honestly wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, you can do it for two weeks no problem! Good luck!!

Congratulations!!!! I really like Dr. Reilly as well. He is so patient and answers all of my questions so thoroughly. I actually started this evening - I had a shake for dinner and I still feel full. Even stopped myself from grabbing a bag of chips few moments ago :) Thanks for the encouragement!!

Good luck everyone you are doing great
