Tooo Medicine On Empty Stomach!

I took medicine on an empty stomach, basically had a couple bites of jello. I have surgery in the morning and I just vommitted! I'm scared! What should I do? Is this going to prevent me from getting surgery? I can't eat or drink anything now since it is past 12. :'( my throat and stomach are burning...

I would say suck on an ice cube and hopefully it gets better.

You have to be NIL BY MOUTH for 8 hours prior to surgery so if its midnight u could get away with a few sips of water, it certainly wont do u any harm unless u are set for a 6 am surgery. I mean theres always a small leeway what if your clocks were wrong by 20 mins :) sucking on an ice cube sounds a good idea too :)

Everything will be fine... it's just your nerves. :0) perhaps gargle a bit to soothe your throat.
