How Soon Post-Op Can I Shower?

I was banded 2 days ago, my surgeon hasn't been of much help as I haven't been able to get a hold of him, my pain and discomfort are subsiding, but am I allowed to shower? Or is it still too soon?

And are there any precautions I should watch out for

Thanx :)

hi fal, i was banded on a wed and came home thursday, and showered as soon as i got home. i didnt face the shower and didnt let the water (hit the incisions). i felt 1000 times better when i did this. i wish you all the best and congrats on this great cange you made :)

i was told i could shower the day after surgery just let the water and soap run down your belly and dont take a bath for 3 to 4 weeks.

I was banded on a Tuesday and told I could shower (facing away from the shower) on Thursday. Agree no baths for a month.

I was told I could shower after 24 hours and remove water proof bandages on day 3

I had clue on my incisions, my Dr said I could shower day 2... just not to take a bath or use a washcloth on the incisions

Your discharge papers should have that info???
