I took 4.5 weeks off, but I have a sometimes physical job.

I have a sit down job at a computer. I had surgery on Wednesday and went back on Monday.

Two weeks. I am a desk jockey but I knew from past experience that a general anaesthetic always leaves me feeling wiped out for at least a week.

I took a week cause I had the time but glad I did. I have a desk job but was just run down.

I work in a retail pharmacy without the option to sit. I took off one week, felt great and went back to work and had horrible pains and broke out in a sweat. I started having all the symptoms of a heart attack. I ended up having to take another week.

I wore pjs the first week home, Your body is going through major changes not just surgery so I think it depends on your body ..I was just weak....,

Thanks so much for all of the replies.

I'm a teacher and am doing two weeks. Planned only a week, but there was no way I was ready to go back.
