Banded On March 23Rd!!!!!

I was banded on March 23rd everything went good dr even removed my gall bladder due to it being inflamed. Im still really sore and having to rely on my meds like clock work. Im living off of sugar freen jello and ice chips and pure protein vanilla shakes. Sometimes im not feeling hungry at all but other times my stomach is growling and im so hungry thats when i drink a shake. Im wondering if it's going to take me a little longer to recover since he removed the gall bladder. Gas hasn't been a big big issue but whenever I feel discomfort I chew some gas x. But im still having trouble getting in and out of bed and sleeping on my back not a happy camper about that. I tried sleeping on my side it just was more uncomfortable for me. But Im walking alot and having no problem doing it. Im going to attempt to take a real shower tonight so I hope i don't get anything to wet. Missing food like crazy though. Hope everyone else is doing well. Oh yeah 16lbs lost so far. Operation get skinny and healthy in full effect!!!!!!!

Hey Tray i tried the ice it gave me relief until i took it off I already took some meds that had tylenol in it for my sinus headache and no Im not diabetic. Well they have an answering service that will connect me with my dr cell phone number but I don't want to call him for this it's not an emergency but it does hurt.

I think i might just sleep with an ice pack on it....

Twin, I think this can qualify as an emergency. U've already tried treating it urself and it's super important to not have it get any worse. I'm sure the doctor won't mind, and if he does, oh well! Lol It needs to be tended to if you feel as badly as you did week one with that particular incision. It's so great that you have those machines at home...Although, a manual treadmill--exhausting!!! Wow! lol But I'm sure it is such an asset so you can just bang it out. Which is my problem...Which like today. Didn't go walking as I thought. My issue is definitely just DOING it. Once I'm in it I bang it out and give it my all. But leaving my cozy home after a long tiring day...Ugh. Gotta change that. Lol

Tray thank you so much for the postivity. Chewing has been hard for me but even harder is SLOWING down. Ugh...I always over due it with the first couple of bites and then I get this horrible stuck feeling in my THROAT. That is what I don't understand. Why does it feel so HIGH and it ALWAYS happens with my first bite, no matter how much I feel like I chewed and took my time. Any ideas???

WE GOT THIS!!!

Nicole I agree with sleeping beauty call the doc.....i did the same thing waited ....it turned out I had to get my gall bladder removed I suffered aweekbc I didn't want to be a bother...

Sleeping with me I felt that all the time in the beginning ...for me I was a chicken person....but for some reason no matter how much a chew I couldn't break it down even till today I have trouble with certain food....dont drink anything before or after u eat at least for 30 minutes ....ur gonna learn foods u can n cannot eat.....I work as an emt n eating slowly was very difficult to get use to bc we are always on the go.....

Yeah, I LOVEEEE chicken!!! I really help I won't have an issue with it once I start getting fills. It's just so annoying when I get that feeling in my throat makes me fear how it'll be when I actually have restriction. And plus it makes me feel all panicky and scared that I may have to burp it up because it can't continue the "journey". Tray I can only imagine how hard that must be for you! That job definitely calls for promptness and rushing. But if you can do it, I must definitely should!

Where r u ladies located? I'm in New Jersey

Tray, I'm in Queens, NY.

Today feeling better not 100% but my incision looks horrible and I clean it twice a day ugh. I have to take meds 3x's a day so that means I have to eat something that will sit well so it won't upset my stomach. This morning I had a cup of oatmeal and then took my meds for the next 3 hrs after that I felt really bad. Like a stuck feeling and then my throat felt like there was something in it. I kept drinking but it wouldn't go down finally relief came around 11 but I was scared to take my something after that anyone else have this feeling before????

Maybe the pill is to big......crazy they didn't give u liquid ...u should ask ur pharmacy if they can....as far as ur incision try to keep it covered with a sterile bandage ..so its not touching your clothes ...once u get over this hump maybe u will enjoy it more...
