April Bandsters!

Hey Ladies and Gents!

Having my Surgery done April 4th. Starting my Pre op diet tomorrow. They said Protein shake for Breakfast, small low fat/sugar lunch, Protein Shake for dinner until surgery. Any suggestions for the low fat/sugar lunch suggestions?

Im heading down to LA to get it done. They will arrange for me to be driven to and from there as I live in San Jose, Ca. My hubby is going to come with me for support. Hopefully they will give me enought pain meds for the ride home. Heh Woot! I'll be a Hollywood starlet by next summer haha!

So who else is getting banded in April? I could use a band-buddy for my journey!

Good luck to everyone getting banded today!!! See you on the other side!

I was banded on April 18. I have only lost 12 lbs including my pre-op diet. I have stopped losing weight. I am still on liquids but must admit I am not getting my protein in and am only getting about 600-700 calories. I am not suppose to start mushies until Wednesday and then not solids until a week after that. Any suggestions on what I can do to get over this hump?

I too was banded on the 18th. I have lost 10 pounds since surgery..i amnot getting in the protein shakes. I in fact gained from yesterday...I did walk yesterday and I am thinking it is all about not looking at daily numbers, but overall numbers...I gained 6 pounds overnight over surgery(due to IVS and swelling)...I also have added soups(creamy), mashed potatoes, etc. Losing any weight is a GAIN....hang in there....

Wow. I had surgery on the 20th and I'm glad to be down 4 pounds! I don't think we are supposed to worry about losing quite yet.

i was told that the main loss will happen once u are on solids and are getting more balance in your meals..and obviously more protein

I am on my way home and feeling OK!
