April Bandsters!
Hey all I was banded back on 4/4/12 and I am now 104lbs down and still working towards my goal. 20 more lbs to go. It had been a productive year but kinda got set back the last few months due to getting rear ended and have 4 ruptured disks. Getting better day by day and still walking and swimming for now. How is everyone else doing?

Phen375 Anyone tried it?
Thank you very much Lee! I do have a treadmill I should break out again as I do love running. I had to cancel my Gym membership as I sign up for it originally for the yoga classes in the mornings and kickboxing on weekends. But due to my new work schedule it starts when I have to be at work. Reason I also got P90x. I may just start running again and just do the Kenpo videos as its my favorite. I do need to add more fiber do my diet but every time I do up the around I can't use the bathroom for a few days and end up having to take the chocolates that are gentle. One thing I noticed with my Lapband is the total quits on the other end regardless of how much water I take in. Adding more fiber frightens me. I have Metamucil orange stir in water kind. That kinda help me keep full but again do not like what happen or lack of what happens when I take a tablespoon in 32 oz of water.

Phen375 Anyone tried it?
This is true, I do not get enough sleep at night. My husband is a night owl and I tend to stay up with him as we don't see each other during work days. I average about 4-5 hours a night. Sundays are the only days I can really sleep in. I aim to get around 80-90 grams of protein a day. I am currently doing the Lean P90x. My main problem is that I get intense hunger pains all day long even if I eat the right amount of food. I try to drink lots of water to ease that sharp pain but wait at least a hour after eating before drinking anything. Recently started the P90x and its great but can be really tough as my right leg was hurting so I stopped for a few days and starting back again.

Phen375 Anyone tried it?
Got it! Thanks for your feedback! I'm just frustrated right now lol. I've come so far and guess I need to change something in my routine. Definitively not going buy this or anything like it. I'll look for some different high Protein foods instead. Change up the current meal plan and keep going with my P90x. hehe Man its pretty tough but very rewarding! Must get rid of bat arms haha. This chick does not want to fly!

Phen375 Anyone tried it?
Hi! I have a question about the product phen375. Has anyone ever tried it? Does it actually help? I'm in a slump with my weight loss and looking for things to help kick start my weightloss again. I've had my lap-band since April 2012 and lost about 85lbs. I have been at this same weight for about 2 months now with out change. I'm exercising with the P90x but still in a slump. Please provide me with some honest feedback about its actual success/fail rate. Please do not post hateful comments as I am honest looking for real feedback and not just don't take it. But rather a "heres why..." after. I have taken Phentermine once before in the past prescribed by doctors and it worked well but now no longer with that doctor as they are out of the area. Does this product work the same. I have looked online but not really convinced as some reviews look fake. Then again there are some video of people that claim this works. If anyone can direct me to a post that my have some real data and possible real feedback would be greatly appreciated. I understand this is a temporary drug and do not plan on using it for more than a few months just to kick start my body into weight loss mode again. I'm about 45lbs to my goal where I will maintain. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

[HELP] 1-800-Get-Thin Scammers!
I had a weight-loss surgery done back in April through a company called 1800-Get-Thin. I was assigned a rep which assured me it would be IN-NETWORK and my insurance would cover most of it and all I would have to pay pay out of pocket would be $2500, which I paid a few weeks before the surgery using my sterling card. I have the receipt for that payment. Which they approved. Now I am receiving bills from the hospital I went to Tri City Regional Medical Center Office totaling over $90k. I called the hospital's billing department November 21 regarding these charges and they told me they have never been In-network and had to pay. I was in shock to hear this now after making it VERY VERY clear that I only wanted it if it was IN-NETWORK . I told them that Sherri Lee was my Patient care Specialist. The agent on the line grunted, and said they had problems with her and she was no longer working with them. I feel that this company did a bait and switch on me. She originally said it would be at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose with Dr. Alfred Johnson, but later found out it would be in LA at Tri City Hospital with Dr. Au Lee. They have now sent me to collections and at a loss to what to do.

April Bandsters!
I asked my doc the same thing. I'm down 30lbs since 4/4 and basically losing it from my face and arms first. Doc said as more weight loss occurs it will even itself out and to not get discouraged. Doing cardio and core exercises will help with the midsection. Basically since we are still at the beginning we should just focus on sticking with our diet and exercise and you will see results eventually. It won't happen over night. Keep with the protein to help build lean muscle and avoid the carbs. Good Luck!

At What Fill Did You Reach Restriction?
I kinda felt something on fill 3 but really once I got fill 4 I was able to go for 5+ hours of feeling full. So really just go by feel and be patient. You will get there! Good Luck!

What The Do's & Dont's Of A Lap Band?
The key is to eat slowly. If you eat fast and only junk it will hurt and fail. Remember protein first. Lean meats and veggies. Sugar free stuff if you want somethign sweet. Eating fast may cause you to feel like you swallowed a golf ball and have to wait it out until it passes. If you follow the guildlines you will be fine. Working out more is a bonus to kick start and help lose faster. Its a tool not a magical cure. You work with it and it will greatly reward you down the road. Good Luck to you and if you have any qustions ask me. I'm always happy to share my experiences.

April Bandsters!
So far Since surgery I didn't get my first fill until 6 weeks after. Then it was 2-3 weeks after for each fill. My surgery was 4/4 First fill: 4ccs Second fill: 3cc Third fill: 1.5cc Forth fill 1cc Total 9.5ccs in a 14cc band I didn't feel restriction until my 4th fill. This was something they didn't tell me at the beginning. I kept thinking why is it not working yet. lol It really working now! lol

April Bandsters!
People that have had their first fills what did it feel like for you?

April Bandsters!
Went in today for my second fill. I now have a total of 7ccs in my band. I do feel the restriction now and am happy. The doc even said I lost 3lbs since I was there 2 weeks ago. I go back in 2 weeks for another adjustment.

April Bandsters!
I have 4 cc in now and feel no restriction at all. I go for my second one on monday. Doc said i prob wont feel it until the 3rd fill. so right now i have been the same weight for 3 weeks now. But I hear everyone telling me that I prob wont lose the first 6 weeks as im still healing and the first weight loss i experienced was just from pre-diet of shakes and post op soups and swelling of stomach. I can understand this process and I am not disparried becasue the real weight loss will start once I feel the restriction. I'm riding my new bike and trying to fit in running when I have time. Little by little. So ready already hehe

The surgery was a breeze! Don't worry to much. They usually give you something to relax before you go in. And you won't be awake for the surgery lol. They keep the area numb after the surgery. Just make sure you have someone there to get your meds after because that week after its really important to have your pain managed. You will heal better that way and faster! Just take it easy for a while. You will be fine. Good luck!
