Where's your port?!

I ask cuz I hear people saying theirs is on their left side, while mine is in the front of my stomach. Is that just doctor discretion? I got mine done in MX, so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it?!

Mine is about 1 inch below my xyphoid process, right smack in the middle. I've never heard of any other doctor putting them there but mine.

My doctor *said* he was going to put it right beneath my xiphoid process-- but then he actually put it more to my right side and down some. Weird.

I have no idea what a xyphoid is and it isn't in the dictionary but my port is on the left side about 2 inches up and over from my belly button.

The xyphoid process is at the very bottom of the sternum/breastbone.

My port is about 3 inches above my belly button and maybe slightly to the right. It seems like a good place, because I can sleep comfortably on my stomach.

Mine is about 2" below zyphoid process and to left of my belly button by about 1/2 inch. I have a lot of swelling and my kids have named my port "the third eye!"

my port is about an inch above my belly button and about a half inch to the left (my left).

Thanks!!

You'd think that dictionary.com would know that.

Ok, good, thats about where mine is also, below the xyphoid process. That makes me feel much much better lol

My port is right above my left breast. My bra strap covers it up. I like it there cause the needles for my fills are only about an inch long. :wink2:

Omigoodness, I don't know if I'd like it there...seems like it might get in the way of intimacy and breastfeeding :wink2:

Has anyhone had a tummy tuck and had their port put under their muscle??? Have you had any fills or unfills if so how did they go?

i am not sure what my dr. was thinking but my port is right under my left saggy breast!!! lol ....its all good when i have my bra on but if not the area feels a lil heavy:wink2:

Where my port is it doesn't interfere with intimacy and it is high enough that it wouldn't interfere with breast feeding either. It's between the top of my left breast and the top of my left shoulder.

Will have surgery on the 22nd. Doc said it would be hidden below one of my left ribs. Wonder if it will really be there.
