    Nsv And Updates!

I have been so busy the past few weeks, that I have not had an opportunity to even check out the boards. However, I had to share a little nsv today. I have been working with a personal trainer three times a week and boy am I out of shape!! Even during a simple hamstring stretch, I could not grab my ankle and pull it up. I was grabbing my shoestrings, my sock, my shoe,...whatever I could manage. Talk about embarrassing! Today, I finally could grab my ankle up!! Silly, I know, but I was determined to get that foot!! One thing I have noticed is that for the past few weeks with ending school, vacation, etc., the pounds have not been coming off. Inches..yes, but the scale is barely moving It would be nice to see those numbers move a little more. I am trying to concentrate on being down clothing sizes since my scale seems to be stuck. On the bright side, it was so pleasant to sit on the airplane without worrying this time. Also, all of the rides were much more comfortable at the theme parks. I even had to pull the seatbelt tighter! WooHoo!!
  12. I am so excited about Halloween this year. I have not dressed up or attended a costume party since I was 20 years old. I have not been able to buy a costume because of my size, which none of the costume stores carried. However, thanks to my sleeve, I am down from a 34 to a size 10 and was able to go to our local Halloween store and buy a costume off the rack, in a medium! I was so excited. And last night, I went to my first Halloween party in 24 years. I had a blast and it was so much fun to participate in the costume contests, etc. I love my sleeve and consider this a major NSV. I am living and enjoying life again. And for those of you just starting this wonderful journey, you will too! And we are all here to support you. Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone!

First day back to work and an NSV!!!!

Today was my first day back after having surgery on 7/22/09. I am a wage continued employee which means that I continue to receive my full salary whether or not I'm there, so I took ten days to recoup. Since that's what my doctor told me would be a good amount of time considering the type of work that I do. I'm glad I listened I'm BEAT!! I had every intention of going to the gym today after work, but there is just no way. I'll go for my two mile walk after it cools down a bit. Work was good now time for the NSV!! Hot Greg NOTICED I had lost weight and told me that I was looking good!!! Yea!!!!! Me!!! :sneaky::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::tt1::thumbup: and I was able to completely slip my size 16 work pants down over my hips without undoing the buttons or zipper...time to go SHOPPING!!! I have a feeling it's going to be my new addiction...shopping! That's all the energy I have for the moment. I'm going to take a much needed nap!
  14. Right there with you girl! I have been stuck for almost 2 months. I've eeked out about 3 lost in that time but usually the same up and down. Although, I've been on vacation twice in the 2 months for a week at at time so there were some splurges. Not on really bad things like bread, Pasta, and processed carbs ( it's my promise to my self to not go there till the end of the year) but on some wine and skinny girl margaritas so I can get the stall from that respect. However, the inches are still coming off. my 12 shorts are getting looser and have tried on 10's but won't buy them. Although short season here in Texas lasts till Oct. but that's only another month and I do get a cheap thrill out of jacking up my britches from time to time. I'm easily amused that way. My closet is getting emptier by the day and I love it! I look forward to when I get to my goal and fill it back up with cute and stylish clothes. Black will no longer be the mainstay of my color pallet. I will have a little black dress though! I am making excellent choices most of the time and It is becoming a natural thing to do. That is the NSV for me. Ice cream? Not even tempted, the way I feel now feels WAY better than ice cream. Last week I'm on the plane on the way home, sitting there playing the the huge extra amount of seat belt material, who know it could be so entertaining? Later in the flight, I realize I am sitting with my legs crossed WITH the tray table down! How freaking cool is that? I didn't even know that was possible! I honestly have ZERO regrets and yes, we are still on the honeymoon and I fully realize the hard work really kicks in when we get to goal and have to maintain for the rest of our lives. I'm sure I will moan and complain from time to time, but I am 100% sure it will be worth the work! I'm SO happy for you and I know exactly how you feel!
  15. Wow, Nancy, another Masters! Now, that's an NSV to brag about! I'm so glad that everything is going so well for you! Congratulations on the regular clothes sizes, too! Super job!
  16. Ok.. this is funny so be ready to giggle.. Katerzz's NSV of the day: When your nurse whos giving you an unfill tells you its time to retire my pants. She tells me, "they are wayyyy to big on you i cant believe you can keep them up" (btw.. the pants.. i love them they are black silky pants that ive had for years Granted, almost 70 lbs later.. well ya you get the picture) HAHAHAHA I'm loving it... (i think the fresh water is going to my head after that unfill)

    Another NSV..

It has been raining in Dallas all weekend. I finally just decided to go to the store. It started raining even harder when we were getting ready to leave Wal-Mart (go figure!). I actually ran from the front door of Wal-Mart to my truck and didn't feel like I was going to croak from a heart attack. My knee and back didn't like it much, but it was so wonderful to bounce along across the parking lot listening to my bundled up 17 month old daughter laughing because we were going so fast.

    Happy Easter!

Hi! I had an NSV of sorts this year. My kids are teens, they didn't want Easter candy SO I DIDN'T BUY ANY. This means I won't eat any either. What a thrill and calorie savings to boot! Any one else manage to escape the Easter Bunny?

    A New NSV--Kind Of!

Hello All! I had an appointment scheduled last Friday for a third fill. I always go into these appointments with a little fear--Big Needle Phobia hear...(see previous posts!) Anyhow, I have lost 8 more pounds in the 4 weeks since my last appoinment. The nutritionist and I had a great discussion: I'm still losing weight at my current fill level, I am not getting hungry and I have little or no problems with food getting stuck-aside from a few non-chewing/triscuit/McD's fries incident-- So, no additional fill for now. We'll see how the next four weeks go. I am an everyday weigher, On the Advice of LaMadam and others, I had my husband hide the scale. I am only allowing myself to hoist myself onto it on Saturday Mornings!

    7 LBS DOWNNNNNN

WHHooohoooooo! I am down 7 lbs, I only have 4 more to go to be under 300 lbs. Can I get a Whot Whot!!! Hell Yes. I have worked out everyday and I feel great. It gets so much easier when you do it everyday. My dd is doing so good and working out with me. "Small nsv" we went to the store today to get the last few things I needed for surgery. We went past the cookies, and my ds said "mom lets get cookies", Before I could say anything My dd piped up and said "Kaleb, thats not very healthy". All I did was smile. We then went and got yogurt instead.. I went and had my "last supper" today. I went to cici's for cinn rolls. I did good and had a big salad with low fat dressing and 3 cinn rolls. That will be the last time I ever have a cinn roll from cici's. I will never go back... I tried on a pair of shorts today and could not get them buttoned but I did get them over my hips.. LOL they are safe in my dresser and waiting till the day I can put them on, button them, and have lots of room to move... I have 7 days left... Yeahhhhh This waiting is KILLING me. While I wait: 1 1/2 hours on cross trainer 300 crunches 100 leg lifts 3 sets 15 curls 3 sets 15 press DD 20 mins cross trainer 100 crunches 50 jumpin jacks 28 leg lifts
